Terms of Service

Last updated: July 2026. Please read these terms governing the use of Kydo Smart School Portals.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By registering, accessing, or using the Kydo Smart School Portal platform ("Service"), you ("Client", "School", "User") agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you are entering into this agreement on behalf of a school or institution, you represent that you have the authority to bind that entity.

2. Description of Service

Kydo provides web-based school management portal software, including student record administration, digital attendance registers, automated result card generation, fee tracking summaries, and parent/teacher portal access.

3. Account Registration & Security

Schools are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of administrative credentials and account passwords. You agree to immediately notify Kydo of any unauthorized access or security breach involving your school's accounts.

4. Setup Fees & Payment Terms

  • One-Time Setup Fee: Implementation and data onboarding services are subject to the flat setup fee agreed upon during registration (e.g., Small School Tier at ₦150,000 or Standard School Tier at ₦250,000).
  • Payment Authorization: Accounts are activated upon receipt of confirmed payment or formal agreement.
  • Refund Policy: Setup fees cover setup, custom configuration, and data migration labour. Once portal configuration and data migration have commenced, setup fees are non-refundable.

5. School Responsibilities & Data Accuracy

The subscribing institution is solely responsible for:

  • The accuracy, quality, and legality of student, teacher, and academic data uploaded to the system.
  • Ensuring that teachers input assessment marks and attendance accurately prior to publishing report cards.
  • Obtaining appropriate consents from parents or legal guardians for student profile creation.

6. Intellectual Property

Kydo Technologies retains all rights, title, and interest in and to the platform, including proprietary portal software, interface designs, codebases, and logos. Schools retain full ownership of all uploaded institutional content, student records, and school assets.

7. System Availability & Service Level

We strive to maintain a minimum of 99.5% uptime for our cloud infrastructure. Scheduled maintenance window notices will be communicated in advance when possible. Kydo is not liable for temporary service delays caused by third-party internet service provider outages or force majeure events.

8. Termination of Service

Either party may terminate the agreement upon 30 days' written notice. Upon termination, the institution will be given a designated period to export student data records before account access is closed.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Kydo Technologies shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from platform misuse, unauthorized account access due to credential sharing by staff, or incorrect academic entries made by school personnel.
